Alexander Reyes

Alexander Reyes performs locally as jazz saxophonist and pianist. He has participated in several festivals including the Brubeck Festival, the Pacific Jazz Festival, the Next Generation Jazz Festival, the Seattle Jazz Experience and the University of Tennessee Jazz Festival.

Born in Stockton, Reyes completed his bachelor’s degree in jazz studies at University of the Pacific where he studied saxophone under Professor Patrick Langham. After Pacific, he graduated with a master’s degree from University of Tennessee where he studied saxophone with Gregory Tardy and piano with Donald Brown. Additionally he served there as graduate teaching assistant for the Jazz Studies Department instructing multiple jazz ensembles.
