Wenjing Ouyang

Dr. Wenjing Ouyang is Professor of Finance at the Eberhardt School of Business, University of the Pacific, and a CFA Charter Holder. She teaches undergraduate and graduate courses in corporate finance, investments, derivatives, and alternative investments. Her teaching emphasizes interactive and experiential learning, with a focus on developing students’ analytical and decision-making skills through financial databases, market data, and emerging technologies. She also advises student-managed investment funds, including the Dreyfuss Family Fixed Income Fund, and mentors students in investment competitions.

Dr. Ouyang’s research interests include corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance, investments, and international financial markets. Her research has appeared in journals including Accounting & Finance, International Review of Financial Analysis, Review of Quantitative Finance and Accounting, Finance Research Letters, and Applied Economics. She has received multiple research awards, including the Fred Gellert Outstanding Research Award from the Eberhardt School of Business, the Alpha Iota Delta Best Paper Award in the Environmental Issues Track at the Western Decision Sciences Institute, and the Best Paper Award in the Corporate Finance Track at the MBAA International Academy of Finance.

Dr. Ouyang is actively engaged in academic and professional leadership. She has served as President of the MBAA International Academy of Finance, is a member of the University Relations Council of CFA Society San Francisco and serves as a guest editor and editorial board member for academic finance journals.
