1L Ben Franz Competition - Final Rounds and Awards Ceremony
1L Ben Franz Competition - Final Rounds and Awards Ceremony
08:00 a.m. - 07:00 p.m.
The Ben Franz First-Year Mock Trial Competition is an exciting opportunity exclusively for 1L students at McGeorge School of Law to step into the courtroom and put their advocacy skills to the test! Competitors will present opening statements, conduct examinations, and deliver closing arguments in a simulated trial. Preliminary Rounds take place on January 24, and Final Rounds on February 7. The top three advocates will receive a scholarship and have their names added to the Courtroom Trophy Case.
The Ben Franz Award Ceremony follows at 5:15 pm in the Courtroom. The Trial Advocacy Association (TAA) is proud to host the Ben Franz Mock Trial Awards Ceremony, recognizing outstanding advocacy from this year’s Ben Franz 1L Mock Trial Competition. The ceremony will celebrate excellence in courtroom skills, with awards presented for Best Opening, Best Closing, Best Direct Examination, and Best Cross Examination, as well as recognition of the Top Three Advocates, who will receive scholarship awards. Students, judges, faculty, and supporters are invited to attend as we recognize the hard work, preparation, and talent demonstrated throughout the competition. Questions?
