The best way to determine whether McGeorge is the right fit for you is to experience our community and campus firsthand. We invite you to visit McGeorge by taking a campus tour, sitting in on a first-year class, or both. 

In addition to campus visits, we offer a variety of opportunities throughout the year to connect with us including information sessions and open house events. 

If you are unable to visit campus, there are plenty of ways to engage with us. We regularly host virtual events and webinars, and the McGeorge JD Admissions team travels throughout the country to attend graduate and law school fairs.

Schedule a Class Visit, Campus Tour, or Counseling Appointment

Get a firsthand look at the McGeorge classroom experience by attending a first-year day or evening class. 

  • Select first-year classes are available to visit Mondays through Fridays, excluding holidays. 
  • Visits must be scheduled at least 2 days in advance.

  • All visits require professor approval to ensure the class session is appropriate for prospective JD students.

The JD Admissions Office offers in-person campus tours for prospective JD students. 

  • Tours are available Mondays through Fridays (excluding holidays).
  • Tour times are available between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. 
  • Most tours are led by current law students serving as JD Admissions Fellows
  • Tours typically last about 45 minutes.

Admissions counseling appointments are available by Zoom or telephone Monday through Friday, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. (excluding holidays).

Pathway Events and Group Campus Visits

McGeorge is committed to making legal education more accessible and inclusive. Our pathway programs are designed to inspire future legal professionals, broaden access to legal education, and support students from all educational backgrounds. 

Through pathway events and campus visit programs, participants can explore law school life, connect with current students and legal professionals, learn about the admissions process, and gain insight into careers in law. 

Whether you are working with k-12 students, community college students, undergraduate Pre-Law groups, we invite you to attend an upcoming event or schedule a customized campus visit.

A Day in the Life of a Law Student

Save the date! Join us on Friday, February 12, from 9:45 a.m. to 2 p.m. for the third annual A Day in the Life of a Law Student event.

This immersive program offers prospective high school students the opportunity to experience law school firsthand. Activities typically include:

  • A panel discussion with current law students
  • A mock law school class
  • A campus tour
  • Lunch with students, faculty, and staff
  • Interactive activities with Registered Student Organizations

Come explore what life as a law student is really like and connect with members of our law school community.

Registration will be available in December. 

Group campus visits are available Mondays through Fridays, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., and are ideal for K-12 groups, community college, and undergraduate Pre-Law groups. 

Visits can be customized to meet your group’s interests and may include: 

  • Campus Tours
  • Mock law school classes
  • Admissions presentations
  • Student panels 
  • Lunch 
  • Career exploration activities
